Unlimbited founder Kimberley Barreda Wins 2018 Outdoor Inspiration Award

Unlimbited.com founder and DT Magazine Editor Kimberley Barreda was presented with the prestigious 2018 Outdoor Inspiration Award at Outdoor Retailer in Denver, CO on January 25, 2018.

The honor was bestowed upon Kimberley, who was chosen from a distinguished field of notable nominees that included ski industry icon Klaus Obermeyer (Obermeyer.com), Christy Pelland (SheJumps.org), and John Sterling, Director of the Conservation Alliance (conservationalliance.com).

The Outdoor Inspiration Awards celebrate individuals, non-profits and companies who inspire and motivate others to explore the outdoors.

“It is such an honor to share the stage with the recipients of this year’s Inspiration Awards,” said Greg Thomsen, managing director, adidas Outdoor U.S. “We are extremely fortunate to have such leaders inspiring participation, innovation and exploration within the outdoor industry. Often times, it takes a gentle nudge to venture out for that first outdoor experience. Every winner this evening is passionate about encouraging people to go outside. Without their collective passion, we wouldn’t have been able to build this vibrant robust community."

The Award winners include Lifetime Achievement: Jake Burton Carpenter and Donna Carpenter, Retailer: Gear Coop, Non-Profit: Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, Manufacturer: United By Blue, and The Youth Award: Margo Hayes.
